Mountains Through the Seasons
Explore the theme before choosing an individual place.
Several kinds of mountain journey
Kopaonik combines a large ski centre with a national park, whereas Tara is a forested protected landscape. Zlatibor is a well-equipped resort region; Zlatar, Golija and Rudnik favour slower exploration. Rtanj and Suva planina demand a more carefully chosen walking route.
Winter and summer are separate products
Do not assume that every Serbian mountain has the same ski infrastructure. Kopaonik, Tornik and Stara planina have operator-managed slopes; elsewhere a winter stay may focus on scenery or smaller local facilities. Summer brings walking, viewpoints, cycling and selected seasonal lifts.
Pick accommodation for the day you want
Hotels beside lifts suit a ski holiday; a quiet cottage may be better for family walks. Mountain names cover wide areas, so compare the actual road, trailhead, parking and season before choosing a room.
