Lakes in several landscapes
Serbia’s lakes include former river branches, historic resort shores and high mountain reservoirs. Srebrno jezero works as a family holiday base, while Vlasina rewards highland nature visitors. Zlatarsko and Perućac connect lake time with mountains and protected scenery.
Different ways to spend a day
Some shores have designated beaches and seasonal services; others are better explored through viewpoints, guided boats or a peaceful walk. Fishing and boating require local rules and licences where applicable. Current water quality matters before swimming.
Where to stay
Palić offers a lakeside resort near Subotica; Perućac can be paired with Tara; Zlatar works for the Uvac area. Check your actual distance to the part of the lake you want to use, rather than booking the closest place by name alone.
